Froststar appears as a slender black she cat. Her fur is medium to long in length, becoming slightly longer on her tail which has a bushy end to it. Her eyes are a pale amber. Her jet black coat hides strong muscles that have been toned from maneuvering through the mountainous territory of Ice Clan. Her legs are long with shorter fur and end in large paws that help her move about the snow during colder times of the year. One can more easily identify Froststar by the confident gate she always walks with and if not that, the look of cold determination in her eyes.

An absolute stranger would deem Froststar snobby and anti fun. That however is wrong to those who know her. Froststar is a stern she cat who prizes actions over words and so she expects her clan to be in tip top psychical shape, especially with their territory. When it comes to joking Froststar has a rather dry sense of humor which turns a lot of cats off to being humorous towards her. Froststar herself doesn't mind the occasional joking around but she is quick to catch it when the joking becomes to much. Froststar believes that save for momentary lapses to ease tension one must be completely serious and disciplined. Almost like ice.

Froststar's stern attitude has caused some to feel that she would be coldhearted to her clan but even though Froststar can be up front and callous sometimes, she cares deeply for her clan. In fact she puts the clan before herself and hates those who are selfish. If she sees any cat within her clan that acts selfish they are sure to get an earful and an appropriate punishment.

Lastly, Froststar believes in doing one's part. This a big one when it comes to running the clan. She expects every able bodied cat to do something be it hunting or cleaning out a den. Froststar does give some leeway to elders, kits, and queens however. In her clan a lazy mouth does not get fed and if they wish to get fed then they have to work for it like everyone else.

Froststar was born to both a strict mother and father, the former being a little more easy going. Her father instilled into her that one must do all they can to aid the clan and so Froststar, known as Frostkit back then, took that way of thinking into her apprentice years. Her mother instilled that Frostkit must always work for her share and so that was also taken into her apprentice years. During those times her mentor was far more easy going and helped Frostpaw gain a slight sense of humor. Other then that she exceeded all his expectations and showed powerful loyalty to the clan. Frostpaw never grumbled when she had to fetch clean bedding for the elders or remove their ticks. Nor did she ever complain when she was stuck helping the clan medicine cat with a few things. Yes, Frostpaw showed strong willingness to do whatever was necessary for the good of Ice Clan.

Fast forward three years after she became a full warrior. A tragedy had occurred, their current leader had fallen ill from Greencough and due to there being a shortage of supplies he was unable to be cured in time.The current deputy was then given the title of clan leader after the appropriate mourning. It was then that by popular demand Frostfur was chosen to be deputy. However there were a fair number of cats that felt that Frostfur had sucked up to the new leader and that was how she had gotten to be deputy. It made sense to the other cats due to how loyal she was but Frostfur stood tall and tough to the rumors like a glacier wall. While being deputy she proved that her loyalty was genuine and not peppered with agendas. Finally Frostfur was named clan leader and after the previous grew old and joined Star Clan, she became Froststar.
